In the years 1964-66, Panshikar played the lead in three hit Marathi movies, 'Manacha Mujra', Aai Kuna Mhanu Mee' and 'Iye Marathichiye Nagri' the last having been produced by the Late V. Shantaram. However, Panshikar did not really feel at home with the medium of Cinema and returned to stage soon. In 1989, he played a major role in another film called 'Janmathep' by Mr. Vishwas Patil.

Panshikar has recorded for several Radio plays for All India Radio. In recent times, he dubbed as Sultan Ahmedshah Abdali for Mr. Vishwas Patil's 'Panipat'.

Even the burgeoning field of T.V. Serials did not really attract Panshikar. Nevertheless, he has roles of substance in Marathi Serials such as Vinay Apte's 'Valwacha Paoos;, Achyut Vaze's 'Kimayagar', SanjBhool', 'Durga to his credit. He has also played the role of Durgadas Barua, an Assamese Tea plantation owner in the English Serial 'Dawn', directed by Kalpana Lajmi and produced by Bhupen Hazarika Productions
