THE NINETIES - A DECADE OF EXPLORATION

1992-For the first time in many years, Panshikar acted in the production of another Company. It was the role of a Kashmiri Muslim Professor in the play 'Jwalamukhi' based on the Kashmir Problem, written by Ashok Patole and produced by Mr. Mohan Wagh's 'ChandraLekha'.

Another role followed, that of a drug addict's father in 'Gandha Nishigandhacha', a Chandralekha Production. Then came a role in 'Nirnay Tumchya Hathi', a play by Mr. Vinay Apte's 'Gana Rang'. This was based on Euthanasia and Panshikar played the central figure of a retired Army officer dying of Cancer.

1997 Panshikar played the lead role of 'Appasaheb Belwalkar' in the legendary Marathi play, 'NataSamrat'. To play this role is probably the ultimate dream of every actor worth his salt, and Panshikar dared to present the character in a different light, something which no one had tried before.
This is the only instance of Panshikar doing replay of a role that has been done by other actors before him.

1999 Panshikar produced and played the central figure in play by Mr. Shripad Joshi of Chandrapur, called 'Ghar Anna Deshpandyanche'.
